Lightning in a bottle: The Ridge Lightning Gallery
In March 2008, the first incarnation of the Ridge Lightning Lightning Photography Gallery opened in a former garden shed in Gem Street, Lightning Ridge. After some extensive renovations, the small building held an extensive display of our framed prints, and proved to be a hit with locals and visitors alike.
In early 2009, Ridge Lightning secured premises in Opal Street, Lightning Ridge, to turn into a gallery showroom for the photography. After even more extensive renovation, the new shopfront opened on the 8th of June 2009, and was a rampaging success.
After being open a very successful six months, the gallery in Opal Street closed down for reasons totally unrelated to its success as a business. Since then, our photos have been available to view and purchase in select gift shops in Lightning Ridge, and through this website.
The Opal Street gallery closed on December 9th, 2009. Thanks to everyone who visited and supported Ridge Lightning and the Gallery over the time it was open. It was fun!
